Brief Organizational Background of Bruh Tesfa support for disabled

Bruh Tesfa support for people with disability is a board leaded local DPO – (Disabled People’s Organization) legally registered and licensed by the Government of Ethiopia Tigray regional Bureau of justice agency Proclamation No 1113/2019 bearing with certificate number 52/2016 on Sept. 15, 2023 G.c as a local non governmental technical support organization. Furthermore, Bruh Tesfa support for people with disability is an active member of the Alliance of Civic Society Organizations of Tigray, an umbrella organization/Network for 80+ CSOs.

Bruh Tesfa support for people with disability has been working as a volunteer service provider supporting different disability support projects since 2002 G.C specially working on technical relationship with Danish association for polio and accident victims (PTU), disabled people’s association of Tigray and with many other organizations working in area of disability development.

The main objective for the establishment of Bruh Tesfa support for people with disability is to minimize the miserable life of vulnerable disabled peoples as a remnant of recurring drought and war and striving for the improvement of the livelihood of the people living with disability and advocate for rights and protection of the disabled.

Since its establishment Bruh Tesfa support for people with disability have been supporting people with cross disability for education and daily living expenses donated from passionate individuals and founders.

Improved health and life of disabled by providing psycho-social service for people with disability.

Empowering people with disability in socio economic status and work for their rights.

Enforce economic independence of people with disability by establishing small scale vocational training for technical training and capacity development activities.
